Empire
The seeds of Empire were planted back in 1992 when 2 Unlimited released the song 'Get Ready For This', an infectiously catchy electro-pop song that triggered a passion for making music in the young Luke Chable.
Luke went on to become a successful progressive house producer and DJ, touring the world and releasing countless singles and remixes, an album with Global Underground and a mix compilation with Renaissance, while working with artists like TV Rock (Ivan Gough) and Shiloh (Justin and Colin Moreh).
His partnership with Shiloh became an enduring one, and as the boys matured they found their tastes in music diversifying quickly and realised a shared love of british rock in bands such as Oasis, The Stone Roses, The Stones and others.
Justin had become an accomplished guitarist, and Luke had a ready-made band in the form of the Fink brothers (Cam and Col) and Tim Sykes, old school friends with whom he had danced to 'Get Ready For This' at house parties back in '92! Those guys had been gigging around the Melbourne pub scene for many years so the scene was set to create some awesome tunes.
Have a listen, hopefully you'll agree that's what they've managed to do!
Empire's album demo was recorded & mixed in Luke Chable's bedroom, where 10 original songs were put down under the album title 'A Million Miles A Minute'.
