SOULMAGICSoulmagic is the combined forces of the two Danish house DJs and producers Morten Trust and Mikkel Wendelboe.The name was first used by Morten - both as a moniker, a song title and a label name but now Mikkel and Morten have teamed up underthe Soulmagic name as production partners, DJ team and label owners.Recently the guys signed a deal with Jamie Lewis' renowned house label Purple Music that so far has released 3 Soulmagic tracks: "We Love This Music" that made it into the Traxsource most downloaded top 3 (!) , "New Dimension" which includes a sample by the eighties group Imagination and "Get Your Thing Together" - a soulful monster release with vocals from the amazing Ann Nesby.
Currently this release is number 2 most downloaded single on Traxsource!But it doesn't stop there! Remix wise Soulmagic have been creating gems for artists such as Miquel Migs, Jay-J, Shane D and many others lately + some very sought after bootlegs and DJ-tools including the infamous "Aretha's Groove" and the cooperation with Purple Music will free more time for Morten and Mikkel to be in the studio....and you know what that means! MORTEN TRUSTWith more than 40 releases and remixes on labels such as Soulfuric, Swing City, Mn2S, Morehouse, Pacha and his own SoulmagicRecordings Morten Trust is a well known producer in the international house community.
Along the way his productions have gained him a#1 spot in DJ Magazines famous Hype Chart, an award for Danish underground track of the year and the opportunity to remix forinternational stars like Barry White, Jocelyn Brown, Jon Cutler, Liquid People and many others.As a DJ he has played every hotspot in Denmark and around the world from Miami to Ibiza delivering his trademark soulful yet energetichousemusic and for almost a decade he has been hosting specialist house shows on Danish national radio P3.
Morten is the founder ofboth the house label Soulmagic and the more eclectic Tapas Records. MIKKEL WENDELBOEMikkel is a well known figure in Danish night life.
He is the man behind the Copenhagen house parties "Vibes", and the hit club night"welovehouse".
At these events he spun alongside prestigious talents such as Axwell, Grant Nelson, Robert Owens, Joey Negro, Can7,Claude Monnet, Martin Solveig and many others.Mikkel's place in the top flight of Danish DJs has been reinforced by the growth of his production experience.
He has remixed names suchas Cece Rogers (USB Records) and Indira Khan (Soulmagic).
Before joining forces with Morten Trust he was putting his own releases out.Among these "Into my Life" released on the respected British label Reelgroove and "Free your mind" co-produced with Sensual Soul andfeaturing the beautiful voice of J-sun (known for Back to love).
